Wet Pour Rubber

Safety Wet Poor Rubber Flooring is ideal for playgrounds, multi-use game areas, athletic tracks, water theme parks, crèches, day care, nursery schools, schoolyards, open air gyms, training studios, and public parks.

Rubber surfaces, often made from recycled rubber granules, are resilient and shock-absorbing. Wet pour rubber feels smooth and soft underfoot, cushioning the body joints, while also being incredibly durable. These surfaces are commonly used for basketball, tennis, and under layer / shock pad / e-layer for field hockey, athletics and other sports. They’re also slip-resistant and suitable for both indoor and outdoor courts, sport and play areas.

This product is a designers dream, as it seamlessly accommodates corporate logos and colour changes across the floor. It can be used both internally and externally and it is especially suitable due to its stain resistant properties, making it very easy to clean. Wet pour can be laid over existing floors, provided that the current floor has no movement nor structural faults.

Playsafe playground wet pour rubber (Spectra) offers the most design freedom, as any design can seamlessly be incorporated into the floor. This flooring ensures that the colours stay vibrant, while the wet pour application is a designers dream and any design and colour combination is possible.

The critical fall height of playground equipment will determine the thickness of playground safety flooring required, as well as the necessary placement of the safety flooring. The South African determination of the critical fall height standard SANS 51177:2010 is the identical implementation and a direct adoption of the international standard EN 1177:2008. This law is applicable to all public playgrounds, schools, municipalities, entertainment centres, nursery schools etc; where a 3rd party is involved, regardless of whether there is supervision. Beneath all playground equipment with a free fall height of more than 60cm and/or equipment causing a forced movement on the body of the user (e.g. swings, slides, rocking equipment, cable ways and carousels), there must be impact protection surfacing over the entire impact area. The Critical Fall Height of the playground equipment and the type of equipment used will determine the thickness of the safety flooring required and the placement of the safety flooring.
